This is a basic skills box which consists of a sponge base and a number of elements for learning and refining basic skills, including basic suturing, mattress suturing, hand ties, tying of vessels and securing a drain. The package is designed to train you in all of the skills which you will need to create a strong foundation for Core Surgical Training so that you can progress onto more advanced skills early on in your training. These basic skills are transferrable and can be used in many different medical specialties other than general surgery.
