The inguinal hernia simulation model consists of a Left or Right sided inguinal hernia model. The model is made of a type of neoprene fabric which can be sprayed wet to give a more realistic feel. The anatomical layers of the abdominal wall in the inguinal region are simulated with different coloured fabric layers. Included in the model is an indirect and a direct hernia, both of which can be repaired using sutures and mesh. 

The kit includes the model, instruments, sutures, and a mesh, along with a wooden self retaining retractor, which gives appropriate exposure for the repair, and an aerosol spray bottle to lubricate the model as required. Very importantly we also include a bespoke video recording stand which can be used to record your repair. The video you record can then be sent to us for review and feedback along with an ISCP WBA.
