Learning certain basic skills early in surgical training, even at medical school, can build a really important foundation which can be useful whichever field of medicine you end up practicing. These are transferable skills, which are not just used by surgeons, and can enhance your professional development in many ways.

If you are planning on following a surgical career, early competence in these fundamental skills can develop you and streamline your training, allowing you to progress to more complex skills earlier in your training. Practice and repetition is key, and the kit we make will allow you to do that. You can also send us videos so we can give feedback and complete online assessments as appropriate.
